7th Literacy Meeting 241
Global impact is going well. Teachers are incorporating reading strategies, note taking and public speaking within instruction.
Teachers are looking into a read aloud (possible bully content) to reinforce reading strategies.
Study Island = 80%

Review of 9/10 meeting Alyssa and the CSI kit, whiteboards
Grade Testing must be complete by 9/26. However, it sounds like everyone is finished.
Alyssa was interested in piloting the program. Best placed for the review of metacognition strategies.
A-Team is finishing Destination/Keynote
E-Team is looking at Jan or Feb (consider December)
C-Team is scheduled for October 20-24 for Library and the Lab after.
Global Impact Project (Tip: a person is easier)
A-Team is looking to schedule so Heather completes the unit prior to her leave.
Study Island 80% accuracy prior to moving on to next skill
AT must have 90%
Remember you can get in and delete prior scores. Be careful the more the students do the questions, the questions will the repeat then memorization comes into play verse skill building.

We will be bringing copies of literacy activities to each meeting to share.
Jenny S. shared an activity concerning setting a purpose for reading. She will go into depth on this assignment at the next meeting.
Some of the teachers are currently working on the elements of a textbook as well as establishing outside reading goals.
All of us are in the midst of administering the GRADE.
Brian M. will share an activity about rating a book with the group at the next meeting and will bring student exemplars.
Date each entry and put the newest entry at the top of the list.
